Welcome! – I’m Alexis, a fresh MSCS graduate from CMU. Previously, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in CS at EPFL.

I like working on databases and networks, and pretty much anything else in CS that involves tinkering with systems. I’ve been advised during my master’s by Prof. Sherry and Prof. Meng, with whom I’ve been working on low-latency networked applications. I’ve also contributed to query optimizer research with Prof. Pavlo and interned at SingleStore.

As a side hustle, I’ve been involved in the crypto community since 2016, with a focus on decentralized finance. In 2022, I co-founded Chainlabs, which hosts Ethereum validator nodes and is developing CryptoCookies.

I was born and raised in northern Belgium and moved to southern Switzerland when I was 10 years old, where I completed my undergraduate studies.
